Are you linkedin?
I've recently been tagged by a former collegue on linkedin the social networking website that is supposed to have a pro-work bent. Are you linked in? Is it useful? A perpetual hassel? Has it bitten you on the ass?

I am linked in; I don't find it particularly useful myself; it has not bitten me in the ass (although I've begged... Heh.)

None of the above.

I'm on linkedin, and it hasn't been anything more than a few clicks a month with no real payback... but those few clicks a month aren't much of an investment, either. What I like about it is that I can use it to catch up with people I'd rather not find me on facebook or livejournal.

I am and it's useless for me as the type of networking industry I'm in isn't a website type

I'm on it - I think it's more useful as an online CV than active networking. I know our HR manager used it quite a lot to actively seek people as well - I wasn't recruited thru that route, but others in the company were.

I'm passive on it, basically - I have a profile which is intermittently friended, and that's about all I've done with it so far...
